Re: Wakefield RISC OS show 27/4/19

Gutted to miss this, don't think I've missed one in the last 20 years but had a good excuse...

Leo Franklin Barriball was born 27th April at 2.16am so I was told that I had to attend that event instead :)

I can't believe what this is going for, are people truly that stupid.
Look at the back parallel port, says battery leakage all over it.

Re: Cleaning PCBs

So, what do you think about putting a PCB with a Varta rechargable battery through a dishwasher cycle???? You should just cut them off, replace them with something else. Problem solved. :D Ken is talking about new boards, with new batteries https://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16337&st...

Re: Today I received.....

It's at this point that I cry "amateurs!" and admit that I might have won a somewhat large eBay retro auction a few months ago... which was so large that I had to hire a storage unit. I do, however, totally understand the warm, fuzzy feeling you get from having a van full of old computing equipment...

I've been tempted to downsize my car to avoid such issues, but then I would have to make more trips ;) Do what I've done. Get yourself a van with no windows in the back. I've now got a mobile storage space for some of my collection and my other half has no idea whats in there (actually she probably...

Re: What was your most shining BBC moment at school?

We went racing down one of the corridors and turned a corner to go down another, unfortuantly the CUB monitor on the t...

You can do it with VLC. I managed to get the URL for the video from the website by playing the one I wanted pressing F12 and looking for the Video tag. <video tabindex="-1" class="vjs-tech" id="vjs_video_3_html5_api" src="https://computer-literacy-project.pilots.bbcconnectedstudio.co.uk/asset/video/...
