How to fix a Sharp MZ-80k with screen full of junk

Sharp MZ-80k with the screen full of junk CPU or not, the screen is full of junk. Is there is a documented procedure for getting this machine working? +5 and -5v are both present. I have tried replacing the Z80, and even switching on with no cpu, but I get a screen full of random characters. https:/...

Crazy idea? Downgrade Electron to an Atom? Possible?

I used to have an Acorn Electron (Love-hate relationship) Instead of paying heaps for one on ebay or building one from scratch, I wonder if it would be possible to replace the ROM in an Acorn Electron (Cheap and plentiful) with a kind of super-Atom so that the Super Atom could use the Electron's ULA...

Hi there, Originally CP/M was written for the Intel 8080/8085 and therefore a lot of BIOS's as well. Just a thought regards Stephen Disassembly of the ROM file.
