Re: ADE / ADE Plus Help

The Advanced editor from the manual is just view with some tweaks, which I also believe are listed in the manual. Pick an editor you dont need anything special.

Re: ADE / ADE Plus Help

From memory, the ADE+ disk came with the Assembler and editor on the disk as rom images. I've had a look for mine but cant find it at the moment. I do have copies of the binaries somewhere so that will probably be easier to find.

Re: BeebSCSImini

I will check, but the dual-os rom was imaged with the original ROM images not the IDE ones, as it pre-dates these.

Re: BeebSCSImini

It's not quite stock it has a multi-os from Mark so 3.20 and 3.50, both checked, unfortunately, both do not see the drive. I also have an external datacentre which is working so I suspect it is not the 1Mhz port. I unplugged both versions of the IDE adfs, so only the adfs in slot 13 was inserted. I ...

Re: BeebSCSImini

Hi I finally got my cabling together and am trying to get the SCSImini working. I have 5v from the AUX port to the board and a 64gb SD card with nothing but the Quickstart directory with the two files. I have configured the master as per the instructions on the doomsday86 website but the hardware do...

Mine arrived early this morning. It is tiny, i was expecting about the same size as the matchbox co-pro. Oh well excuse for a new case. Thanks Simon for the designing etc, and thanks Jason for taking the time to build these.

Re: Open Source Logic Analyzer Experiments

Maybe for a master machine version, it would be easier to create a bare cartridge with the required lines straight onto the board, or into sockets on the cartridge so the cypress board can be mated to the cartridge. Would probably have to be careful with the clearance for the board and the slot cove...

Re: Setting up PANOS!

Thanks for that, with you prompting about RAMFS i have managed to move a little more forward by moving the files to the ADFS disc, changing the permissions and trying to kick-start Panos from there. So i have gotten a little closer, it is now hanging after the Panos 1.4 banner with a flashing cursor...

Re: Setting up PANOS!

Hi I am trying to install Panos images over a datacentre USB -> CF card. The ADFS disk is formatted and that all seems to be working. I am getting an error while trying to install Panos from the disk images for mdfs.net or the disk images from earlier in this thread. *** System loading fails: the sy...

Re: Beemem3 for Mac

After some fantastic help from Jon, the solution is actually relatively easy,

Code: Select all

sudo bash -c "echo 127.0.0.1 $HOSTNAME >> /etc/hosts"
Without this even a ping $HOSTNAME fails.

thanks again Jon

Hi Jon

Thanks for the offer, if there is anything that would help it would be great. Both versions are definitely working on the previous version of mac os on the old laptop.

I have a quick video showing what i am doing https://youtu.be/LWjVozHpwtg, sorry about the accent

Beemem3 for Mac

Hi I recently got a new laptop and have been moving stuff across as you do. I tried to move Beebem3 and it wouldn't open, it was a direct link from Jon's site, I think this has something to do with the expiry of a developer key - not a problem, I had a recompiled version from about 6 months ago with...

the aund server works very well with beebem at the moment, I have versions running on my Mac and now on a Raspberry Pi without too many issues. It needed a small code change to work on the Mac. Emulators that create tape save files

Does anyone know of an emulator that can recreate the tape sounds so that i can record these and then play them back into actual hardware? Would you really need/want to replace the SCSI stuff when there is a ready made modern version which could potentially be used?

Although it does appear that this is still being investigated.
