Re: WTD - Acorn A4 Econet card (ALA66)

Can't help I'm afraid but I was looking for one of the (internal) cables years back and never did get one. I meant to build one but never did get round to sorting it. I seem to remember stuggling sourcing the cable ends. I must revisit that.

VIDC Enhancer(s)

I'm looking for a VIDC Enhancer for my old A440/1. I also have an A3000 which would be nice to upgrade too. Anybody got one (or two) they would like to part with? I'm not adverse to making one or more up myself if any schematics and parts lists are available anywhere. Anybody got any recommendations...

Re: RISC iX - Cloned!

Possibly a silly question but how does one edit RISC iX files from RISC OS? Without removing the the disk and mounting on linux or such like. The filesystems appear readonly from RO.

You'd rather fooled me: Colwyn Bay is very "West" Lancashire ;) ------------------>
Oh yeah, must update my profile. As mentioned previously on here, I moved over from Up Holland in the latter part of last year. Still not completely sorted though. Still got boxes stacked up in places!

I'm not Gary but I can give you an idea what my card can do... Thanks Phil. I have a couple of PowerRom enabled Alsystem cards. I was more thinking along the lines of does Gary still sell/support the roms for the different cards. I know the site 'appears' active but nothing seems to have changed on...

Re: Wanted: Acorn Electron mains adaptor (UK/EU)

I don't think it needs to be specifically an electron psu does it? I seem to remember the electron being very tolerent of the exact voltage.

As long as the jack is the right size with the correct polarity (make a lead up) you can use many a laptop psu.

Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Wanted: BBC Master 128 / Master Econet module

Hi Mike,
Sorry, I got a little impatient and have recently bought a master in need of a little restoration from eBay. Thanks for the advice though- I'll get the various bits I need to set up the econet from BeebMaster.
No problem at all.

Cheers,
Mike.

I haven't forgot about this but the move/refurb went on for seemingly ever. Getting the last few things from storage and under threat of death from the missus, my beeb gear is last in the queue.

Mike.

Hi, Yeah, moved in now but still a bit up in the air. As I said, I have a Master or two along with econet modules so I will get something sorted for you to look at this week hopefully. I modified a number of Masters to rectify what was commonly know as the year 2k bug, which entailed fitting a modif...

Re: Wanted - BBC Model B computer

Well, I have a number of Beebs in good order and I'm happy to post to Canada, but I doubt it wil be 'cheap'. I'm down sizing so slowly getting rid (sadly) of lots of BBC gear. On past experience, insured postage is likely to be around the £35 mark (maybe a tad more) and a good Beeb itself has got to...

Hi, I have both but I'm in the process of moving house so not everything (including myself) is where it should be. So if you are not in a mad hurry I can sort you out. All in good working order, what would you consider a fair price? A good working one must be worth £130-£140. I agree, some of the pr...

Re: Wanted Cheese Wedge Case

Apologies for delay, really busy at the moment. Postage is gonna be approximately £20, maybe slightly more. That gives upto £50 cover.

I would need to pack, measure and weigh to get an exact price so pm me if you are still interested and I'll do that.

Re: Wanted Cheese Wedge Case

Well, I have 2 x teletext wedges, 6 x 6502 copro and one Z80 copro. None are currently BBC cream, if you know what I mean, but I guess they will clean up. For your purposes, I guess the teletext option is best. No idea what one is worth, except there is one on CJE for £59, so I'll take a stab at £30...

What do you want it for, it is just the actual case you want, not the contents? If that's the case (no pun intended) I guess a teletext option would be best as they are the least useful. I'll dig them out on Monday and report back. No idea what a fair price for a tt wedge is but they are sat there d...

So would like some advice on getting a repair invoice, or something to satisfy the insurance When you say insurance, do you mean the insurance premium you paid to the parcel courier?
