RISC OS 3.20

I've been out of for a while, as Matt Glover will attest to!, but where is the RISC OS 3.20 project now?

The last I read physical ROMs were on the verge of being flashed! Are there any software ROMs for emu use around?

Again I apologise for the spoon-feeding, but it's been a bad 24 months.

Re: Baildon Electronics IDE Interfaces - Replication

Hi Dave, Due to on-going ill health (Crohn's, seizures, loss of work and self-worth etc.) I have completely forgotten you still have my dodgy IDEFS podule whilst I've been living it large with your working one. Please let me know if you want yours back. My wife's Catholic guilt is waying heavily on ...

BBC B MMC

Help! I have a BBC B with Acorn DFS in ROM (kindly provided by Dave) along with a cigarette tray quick ROM swap port and an MMC rom. Along with this I have an MMC/SD card interface coming from the User Port. Whenever I *MMFS I always get after every command "Card?" I've put in a second-generation 1G...

MY ongoing thanks David.

I've recently been medically retired (at 36! ffs!) so they generosity is most definitely helpful.

It's currently running pefectly fine on 3.70/4.02/4/39 (All in ROM) and 5.26 SoftLoad

Re: Baildon Electronics IDE Interfaces - Replication

Hi Dave,

Afraid ABUG is out for me - three major surgeries in 2018 and a broken arm over Christmas!

Any chance of posting out to you? If it's dead at least you can keep it to help with the replication project.

Re: Baildon Electronics IDE Interfaces - Replication

Dave - can you help?! I had a fully working ARCinV6 in my RISC PC, from the later APDL days. Picked up from eBay earlier this year. "Suddenly" the card stopped working - not even detected in *podules. Now at the time I wasn't entirely "with-it" (hypothyroidism toxicity) and may have been attempting ...

I have a Cumana SCSI podule (see photo) which is in good working order. What I don't have are any drives or terminators for it. Could someone let me know what type of device cables I need, the type of terminator and some disc drives (either flash or spinning rust) that will work with the podule. It'...

RISC PC - RISC OS 6.20 softload over 4.39 with IDEFS

Hello, Can anyone help with this issue I have at the moment. When softloading RISC OS 6.20 from my HDD attached to the ADFS interface I have no problem with it. When doing so with the drive on my IDEFS podule I get a grey screen and complete lockout until a power cycle. I've tried both the "normal" ...

Birds of War - RISC PC

Hello, Does anyone know if Birds of War works in any way on a RISC PC (assuming I have the original release for my A3010 - same discs too!)? I've swapped the CPU down to an ARM610, but still no joy. Is RISC OS 4 to blame, will it work with 3.71 or lower? (I have all the Risc PC RISC OS 3 ROMs to han...

Re: Cumana SCSI2 (32bit) card - jumper info

I've had the extended podule error and it turned out to be a dead expansion slot or damage to the traces running to it.

None of five podules I had did anything other than report as Extended.

All five work fine on a new RISC PC MOBO. Same podules and same backplanes.

Just wondering whether there's been any progress on Risc PC IDE interfaces recently? I just saw a Baildon Arcin v6c go for £70 on eBay!
Whoops! That was me!

I've seen them go for well over £100 and they are only getting rarer - bit of an investment!

apdl.co.uk lost

I was trying to get a hold of the ArcIN manual and discovered that apdl.co.uk has gone and is now one of those "Up for sale" ripoff merchants.

Very, very sad. Reminds me of acorn.co.uk.

PS Does anyone have the above manual?!

I believe OP (for 2018 posts!) said he has an A3010 not an A310. The A3010 does have a bidirectional printer port! I have used my parallel Zip 100 drive as a makeshift HDD in the past, as I didn't have an IDE podule until about six months after I picked up my A3010. I used the original Iomega Zip dr...

killer.arc.zip
Remove .zip after download and before transferring to RISC OS. This is an ArcFS/SparkFS ARChive not a zip file.
(809.46 KiB) Downloaded 55 times
Full version of Pineapple Virus !Killer circa 1997. You need to change your system clock to mid-1997/98 for this to run. Apart from that it is fully functional, and still the best RISC OS virus killing software out there.

5.25" Drive Cleaning Kit

Hello, Has anyone found a vendor stocking these for a reasonable price? They seem to be extremely rare on eBay - the only kits I could find were in the United States! - and for stupid money. I picked up my 3.5" cleaning kit for about a tenner two years back on eBay. Is this a CJE jobby? Thanks, Matt
