Re: ICE T65/Z80/6809

Had no troubles with Windows. You get a Linux VM that contains the Xilinx programs and can point to a share folder for host file transfer.
Actually that VM gave me issues :-) Got it "Native" working on Windows 10/1903

Re: ICE T65/Z80/6809

Normally the biggest hurdle is installing the ISE software on Windows, particularly Windows 10, as this is largely unsupported by Xilinx. Windows 10 , 1903 is doing a lot better. Also with driver support. If you want to compile your own later on let me know, I got it to work under Windows 10. It ne...

Do you want to compile yourself or just program Dave's "images" ? , in that case you can just start "Impact".

Re: ICE T65/Z80/6809

If you have the "EEPizza" board (still got one in transit myself) you need ISE 14.7 (you mentioned 4.7 but that can be a typo) , do you run it on Windows or Linux ? And you do need a programmer like this : https://www.ebay.com/itm/Xilinx-Platform-USB-Download-Cable-Jtag-Programmer-FPGA-CPLD-C-Mod-XC...

Re: Cheap Xilinx LX9 Starter Board

Ordered one as well few weeks ago (Nov. 21). As mine didnt have a "shipped" status yet I sent "Eepizza" a mail and today got this response : Hi, Bram. Your parcel has been delivered to our shipping company already. It has to be short delayed because the security check is very strict recently. But it...

Re: ICE T65/Z80/6809

Almost there :-)
Maybe another stupid question but how do I "Git Clone" the DEV branch as I seem to get the "production one" .

//Update: Found it -> -b dev

// All done :-)

Kind regards, Bram

Re: ICE T65/Z80/6809

It works for me on Windows 10 now with some manual interventions.
So wanted to try to setup an Ubuntu VM to make it more seamless.
But in the end I can rebuild.

Re: ICE T65/Z80/6809

Hi Dave, The 0.90 version (which I last compiled last week) did work for me. All other CPU's are compiling fine just the 65C02 doesnt. Not really a pain as I actually never use it , the normal 6502 and Z80 do work. I indeed use version 0.981 #define VERSION "0.981" Yes it is reproducible with Make C...

Re: Acorn System Replica boards

They are “new compatible designs”, as it is using a CPLD (xc9536) for all the glue logic, as well as an IBM PS/2 keyboard interface. Same for the memory using (more) modern versions.

Re: Acorn System Replica boards

@Phill,

Do I see correct that the 74LS245 is mounted under the 6502 ? Assume this is direct on the board ?
And can you run the video board with just the 6845 and not the SAA5050 populated ?

Kind regards, Bram

Re: ICE T65/Z80/6809

Going to test further tomorrow on the Z80 and 6502 coming weekend.
I wont use the 6809 and 65C02 (for now). Switches are unfortunately not in... packages from China nowadays take 4...5 weeks.

Thanks so far, you're going faster in releasing than I can keep up with building / testing :D

Hi Dave, Tried to recompile your /Dev version today (using a Windows 10 environment). In general this goes OK but the 65C02 as well as the 6809 version give me a bit of a worrying warning : WARNING:PhysDesignRules:2410 - This design is using one or more 9K Block RAMs (RAMB8BWER). 9K Block RAM initia...

Re: ICE T65/Z80/6809

There was a discussion going on in one of the FB groups about this as well (maybe the same people :-) ). What I understand is that : /RFRSH is not tri-stated but also "not functional" when an external device is taking over the bus by a /BUSREQ signal. The Z80 datasheet I saw was referring to (long) ...

Thanks Dave,

With some (script) tweaking I was able to generate the new files myself now and with a Windows batch file generate the PROM file (instead of the shell script).
