Re: Another Atomic Dutchman

Re: Worth Taking a Look At

Hi, I came across this 6502 Coprocessor board and would hav bid myself if it wasn't for the spring cleaning fever my wife's already in [-X  Might be interesting to someone else on this forum. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321655502539 View item: Acorn Second Processor fo...

Re: Matchbox sized 6502 / Z80 / 6809 Co Pro

I've had some fun designing a Papilio One CoPro Wing with 128k RAM (See my previous posts). Checking the pcb prices and components on the Farnell website, they should cost around 6 EUR (30 EUR divided by 5) for the board and about 14 EUR excl. VAT for the components per board, provided I reach the m...

Re: Matchbox sized 6502 / Z80 / 6809 Co Pro

Wow is all I can say! Did you manage to auto route this? Thanks! Yes, and I now managed to include your suggestions. I only applied the pull-ups on the outgoing signals. By the look of the other posts you must be very busy, but if you could manage to have another look at the final board before I se...

Re: Matchbox sized 6502 / Z80 / 6809 Co Pro

I now have an Eagle schematic and pcb design for the Papilio One. It contains the RAM and level shifters. Have a look at the attached files. I'll leave it for a moment and do a final check later ... quite challenging as a first project  Would anyone be interested in one? Greetings, Berend

6502 / Z80 / 6809 Co Pro - Papilio One Edition

This is a bit of a tricky area, as the data bus on the Beeb is quite heavily loaded. The two hardware platforms we have so far use different voltage convertors that actually work in different ways: - The GODIL GOP uses the 74CB3T3245 - Jason's LX9 Co Pro uses the 74LVC4245APW but both seem to work....

Re: Matchbox sized 6502 / Z80 / 6809 Co Pro

Dave, Following up the discussion on using the Papilio to use for this CoPro. I've just ordered a Papilio One 250 and was thinking about putting the following on the wing: 1x AS6C1008-55STIN, SRAM Memory 1048576bit, 128K x 8 bit,, 2.7 → 5.5 V, 32-Pin, STSOP 2x TXB0108PWR, Voltage Level Translator, 3...

Re: Offered: Matchbox sized 6502 / Z80 / 6809 Co Pro

You would need to make a custom wing containing a SRAM and Level Shifters, but I think there are just about enough IO pins: - 128Kx8 SRAM = 8 data + 17 address + 3 control = 28 pins - Tube = 8 data + 3 address + 5 control = 16 pins That leaves 4 spare for flashing LEDs (the Papilio has 48 I/O conne...

Re: Offered: Matchbox sized 6502 / Z80 / 6809 Co Pro

Could it run on a papilio one 250 with an adapter board with some level shifters and RAM?

The papilio one is cheap enough, but I have insufficient knowledge of FPGA design to know if I'm suggesting something stupid

Hi from Pijnacker, NL

Hi all, I'm 45 years old and live with my wife and 14 month old daughter in Pijnacker, NL. During middle school I owned an Electron and played Elite endlessly during summer holidays with my friends. Later I owned an Atari 1040STF, Archimedes, RiscPC, then PC's and now I use a Mac. Hit by a wave of n...

Re: Offered: Matchbox sized 6502 / Z80 / 6809 Co Pro

I've just joined and I haven't even introduced myself properly yet, but wondering whether these are still available. I've become particularly fascinated with the z80 coprocessor and running cp/m. If possible I'd like to have the B model. Very impressed with the work done, kudos to Dave and the other...
