Re: Yarrb - redesigned

That's interesting - one thing I didn't mention was that I modified my ATOMM2 board with a little hardware reset delay line into the PIC because the IRQ/#A000 version was a bit hit & miss on power up/break in my Atom (mine seems a bit slow to get going, so often seemed to miss the IRQ signal being s...

Re: Yarrb - redesigned

Roland kindly sold me a yarrb2 board which I have now built and successfully installed - works perfectly and is really impressive - I just need to work out how to use all its features. Thanks!! Previously my Atom was set up with ATOMM2 to auto load on power up via IRQ to #A000 version - which was ju...

Hi,
I'd be interested in the new Yarrb board too in either format. Getting more use to SMDs now.

Re: Atom Video to HDMI Adapter

Thanks Dave - I've been away for week but today found in my excitement had somehow corrupted the palette file, so once I'd reinstalled the Pi card files last night everything worked perfectly, RV2 adjusts as expected. The display is absolutely fantastic! Thanks for a great bit of kit.

Re: Atom Video to HDMI Adapter

Hi, just like to report I've got my HDMI board working as well (with one caveat - see later). Really excited and it's good. :D It's taken me quite a while as I knew I would come unstuck on CPLD programming - never done it before and I don't own a PC. So I tried getting Xilinx LabTools going on Windo...

Re: Atom Video to HDMI Adapter

Hi Hoglet & everyone, I would be very interested in obtaining an HDMI & video ram board - these look really good and it's about time I boosted my Atom (currently just has Atommc and an analogue colour board) - are there any spare?

Thanks

Re: Atom Floppy

Hi, apologies for delay writing back - could I have an internal configuration please but with female socket because I've got males pins sticking up from my Atom main board at PL6/7. Thanks! Bill

Re: Another Atom restoration

Many thanks for all your comments! I've now got the floppy interface up and running and a sturdy case in nearing completion, all seems alot more reliable now. I've found some old Bear hardware/software documents which I can't find elsewhere on this site so attach in case anyone's interested - there'...

Re: Atom 1770 ADOS by Bearsoft

I've attached a couple of pictures of my Bear 1770 board now working in a 19 inch rack, as requested by Roland. It seemed to fit best with this older post rather than mine. Hope this is of interest.

Another Atom restoration

Hello Atom forum. While I joined a few month ago, I'm now happy to report my old Atom to be working again :D . Images attached for proof. It's taken alot longer than expected, as it's been much more unreliable than I remember from 30 years ago :( . As you can see I built a 'Bear Hardware' backplane ...

Hello from Derby UK

Hello from Derby UK. Thanks for letting me join this great group. Many moons ago, when I was a teenager in the very early 1980's, we got our first home computer - an Acorn Atom which was, and still is, fantastic. We had a ready built one, but 2 of my mates built theirs, so we had a small Atom group....
