Welcome!
I'm just a few KM up the road from you, and there is a healthy Atom following in NL.
See you at one of the meets.

Re: Atom and FPGA based retro-computers
There is this link...
https://gitlab.com/victor.trucco/zx-spectrum-next-cores
It says that they are cores based on ports for ZX-Uno and have come from different sources, copyright has been kept on each file.

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD
That's very neat, I assume it works OK? (I was concerned that the extra heat inside the PI case might make the threshold adjustments a bit unstable.) It's not actually finished, I got to the stage where I needed to programme the CPLD but my Xilinx platform is not recognised by my laptop. I will hav...

Re: AtomSID
I finally got around to finishing the AtomSID board that Kees gave me at the Dutch Atomic Techsat in June. I have modified it slightly. I am usung a SwinSID so it runs off 5v making the step-up voltage area of the board redundant, so I cut it off, removed some tracks, made some links, moved some com...

Re: Disc Pack and Micro Gotek problems
Thanks but I already checked the wiring of the encoder and the switch is working. So I’m thinking it’s either the card setup or actually something wrong with the micro Gotek itself. I was surprised when it turned up in a Jiffy bag. I could try it on a different system and try and rule out the card o...

Re: Disc Pack and Micro Gotek problems
The little PCB that the encoder sits on is simply for linking the encoder's pins to a 4 pin header. If that helps.

Disc Pack and Micro Gotek problems
Hi All, I have bought a Micro Gotek by Zaxon from SellMyRetro: https://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/details/micro-gotek-32413 I have dropped a few of Kees' .dsk files on it from the AGD packs for testing but I am not having much luck with it. The connection and jumper details are here http://www.eightb...

Welcome! This is a fantastic forum for info and help.
Your story of abandoning modern gaming and collecting classic 8-bit systems will sound familiar to many here. Although some, like me, may not have tried modern gaming at all. I'm more into the hardware side of things anyway.
