Too fast! If you can make it through level 1, then levels 2 and 3 are a bit easier. What I do is hold down the fire button, as it auto-fires, then concentrate on moving. Not sure I'll beat this, as I'm away for the next couple of weeks so not much time for gaming. Best so far: 306

Ah, another favourite! A couple of tips for this game: Stay on the first sheet for as long as possible, as the enemy ships get increasingly tough with each level. And switch off the shield when not being directly attacked, so that your energy recovers faster. Best so far: 1276

One final attempt for this round. I got as far as level 18, but missed the bonus on level 17 by crashing after shooting the reactor... 155,400.

A bit better ... The invisible levels are hard, need to get better at using the shield as the turret fire is intense. The strobe effect though :shock: ...

Well done! I haven't had chance to try again yet. How do the invisible levels work, do you have to memorise the layout or what? The walls become visible when you use the shield, so you can keep hitting the space bar to know where you are. The first couple of levels are easy ... but the later levels...

BeebEm doesn't currently have a model A mode, so I have just added a GitHub issue to capture this. Thank you. I did wonder about a recompile to allow this additional option. I realise its a potential 'can o worms' as someone could say well an 'A' might only have 16K but might have an ADC and/or -in...

Yep, it's that narrow right turn for me, just after you get back through the gate with the orb. There's not enough space to go through carefully and slowly, I think you need to swing the orb through, but I lack the control skills to do that in reverse gravity. Still, I'm hoping with a lot of lives ...

Wow, I love this game! How have I never seen it before? Starting to get the hang of it but did someone say REVERSE GRAVITY????? And that's before you get to the levels with invisible walls :lol: (not that I ever managed to get that far!) So, can I improve on my score from last time we played this? ...

This is a brilliant game, but it doesn't really have a score as such (if I remember correctly, you have to find certain items before the time runs out). It'd be great to play this, to see how far we can get, but I don't see how it would fit the HSC format.

Hopefully, the ?&64 at &FE10 will remain in all new versions of BeebEm until all the problems are sorted. Yes, that's the plan, and is the reason I started this thread: ... I'd want any patched games to continue to work until we have fixed the graphics issues. Would it help the author(s) of BeebEm ...
