Re: Today I hacked ...

by 8271 you don't need track 0 , sec 0 sec1 and sec2. look at my disc protect systeem :). if the 8271 do not find after index hole track 0,sec0,1 it steps 255 times all over de disc to find it :) so track 0 sec1,sec2 can be at track 9 the only thing you have to do is make track 9 the ids for track 0...

Re: Today I hacked ...

yeah, but how ? if a discchip(8271or1770) reads a sector it is the hole sector 128 bytes, (like &e00)you can set you memory 51 bytes futher that you can do so the next sector comes &e52 and so on. but then you must know which sector is the start . if a track has more the same sectors id , the you ha...

Re: Today I hacked ...

how do you see that happening ? if id is the same the first good id that the head finds it loads in memory ? so how is it only 51 bytes ? or is there a program that knows load sec and then if same read again ?? [snip] Then I had a eureka moment, may be track1 had sector's 1to9 hidden. BillC confirme...

the problem with lifting a rom is the space around it
most of the time a cap or resistor blocks it :(

how works electron with roms ?
where is adfs rom and pres plus 1 rom ?
not on MB board ?

i think the sideway 6264 has a conflict with these roms.
maybe the board was before they install the adfs rom and/or plus1 rom ?
