Jason, have you considered doing a variant of this with the footprint to fit the internal CoPro connectors on a Master?

For those of you who like to use the Matchbox PDP11 CoPro, while staring at PCs waiting for deployments to complete I've used the time usefully and dug out some bugs and updated PDP11 BBC BASIC. Fractional decimals, exponents and powers now work:

Image

More-or-less, just fractional decimal printout to get working, for example, PRINT PI currently prints 3.

Code: Select all

They're back in stock! Finally had some time to put a new batch together.
Will be testing them over the next week to expect to post them out towards
the end of next week.

The price of the SRAM, Flash and FPGA have all gone up (my usual FPGA source
had *DOUBLED* in price since the last batch so I had to shop around) and hence
I've had to put the price up a little.

Order from usual place:

I will be there but I don't know if I'll have any tested units by then.
Intend to do the testing early next week.
I'll see what I can do.

After PMing Alex back with an answer, expecting to post Monday, I'm going to need to hold of another day or two.
I've found a slight issue with some of the components whilst testing and I've decided to order replacements.
Order is already placed and they should arrive Tuesday upon which I should be able to refit and retest.

I hope the boards will be with everyone Friday or Saturday now. Sorry for the delay but I want to make sure
they are all spot on.

All the orders to date have now shipped. Sorry for the delay.

ALL boards have been tested by booting Tube Elite correctly on a 20cm ribbon cable in addition to running a BIST.
They are shipping with the same firmware as the previous batch. I couldn't get Dave's latest build to come
out of reset on any board or any CPU setting, odd.

Those that have opted for International Economy delivery, please be patient, Royal Mail state that delivery to .au and .nz is up to 12 (yes twelve) weeks!

I think that will be the last batch of these boards unless I get a large number of people nagging me.
Not surprisingly, demand has now dropped off considerable.

Hope you all have fun.

Can you be a bit more specific and I'll investigate:
- which build was broken?
- which build did you ship with?

IIRC, there was one duff build out there, but I thought I had deleted it from the forums.

Used 1004. Couldn't get 1555 to do much and didn't have time to d/l the source myself and investigate.

Can you give the the full filename please. The last 4 digits are just the build time (e.g. 1004 means 10:04 am)

Sorry, I shipped:
LX9CoProCombined_20151215_1004_dmb.zip

and

LX9CoProCombined_20160228_1555_dmb.zip

wouldn't for for any of my boards.

Hello,

Are the sourcecode and schematics for the firmware on Github or somewhere, I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of mine and looking forward to starting on hacking together another processor...not sure whether a 65816 clone or maybe something of my own imagining...

I've tried searching and so far just turned up some draft level 2 schematics...

Thanks

Dom
