Forum rules
You're welcome to trade Acorn-related stuff with other forum members here - the rule of thumb to follow when trading, is that items or services offered should be of interest to our Acorn community. Do NOT use multiple accounts - please trade with your regular (and only) forum account. If you're giving items away, please make it clear if you would be unhappy with the recipient selling on some or all of the items. Similarly, please ensure that the giver is comfortable with you re-selling items you have accepted as a gift. We cannot be held responsible for what happens in these trading forums or for deals done via PM. This must be done at your own risk. If you aren't comfortable with this - make the trade via an alternative site which can apply safeguards of their own. Be sensible - if someone approaches you to trade via PM who is not posting in the public forums, this may be a sign that they are not entirely what they seem. Please report it to the moderators if you receive an unsolicited message from anyone suspicious, so that it can be investigated and hopefully stop anyone being taken advantage of. BBC Micro / Electron hardware and software

Postby Samwise » Sun Mar 01, 2009 3:23 pm

Hi, all.

I have a large amount of hardware and software I have to pass on for space reasons. Instant beeb / electron collection! Complete(ish) list below. Everything is untested, though I expect most of it to work.

I'm not so much bothered about making a large amount of money out of them, so much as keeping them in the community i.e. seeing them end up in a good home where they'll get converted to images or scans and donated if they're not already available online.

After that, priority goes to anyone willing to take the hardware in bulk and preferably not just resell it straight to eBay.

Collection available from Ipswich, or I'll be attending ByteBack, so if someone wants to take it all there, I'm prepared to hire a car to deliver it there as splitting it all up to mail is going to be a last resort - if I end up doing that, it'll probably end up in eBay.

Donations to Retro Software or a charity of your choice, would be more than welcome.

Cheers,

Sam.

Hi there,

Further to my PM, and so that other people don't PM you asking for the same, please can you put to one side:

3D SNOOKER
The 10 Electron User discs
All the Acorn User discs

I also read need instructions for PHANTOM COMBAT FLIGHT SIMULATOR by DoctorSoft (One of the last remaining Acorn Electron games I haven't found the instructions for!) so if your copy has instructions, I'd like that as well.

If the Public Domain catalogue includes BBC and Elk stuff I'd like to have that as well, for preservation purposes.

Hope to see you at Byte Back!

I'm unable to contact you direct sorry.
I apologize for reviving a dead thread.

Can I ask do you still have the Arena 3000 game for BBC?

Cheers

8 1/2 years ago Samwise stated "all gone now", so I'd estimate the chances of them still having the Arena 3000 game are fairly slim

Perhaps place a wanted ad instead?
