Cheap(ish) C64C boxed

Postby Lardo Boffin » Thu Mar 22, 2018 1:50 pm

Hi all

I recently bought a C64 bundle to get the disc drive so that leaves me with a surplus C64C.

The unit itself is in very good condition with very little yellowing. The polys are pretty good but the top of the box is a bit trashed.

I have tested it with both a working datasette and disc drive and those connections work fine. I don’t have a cartridge handy to test that port. Makes lovely noise sound.

Included:-
C64C - working
PSU - working. Fairly yellow
Manual
Polys
Box
Datasette (boxed) - makes funny noises / squeals in operation so will need some attention! Consider it not working but maybe recoverable?
Joystick - working
Aerial cable (sorry I don’t have a spare SCART cable for it but they are only £5 from eBay - search for
COMMODORE C64 / 64 / 128 SCART VIDEO CABLE / TV AV LEAD - 2 METRE LENGTH)
Copy of Bounder (actually quite good) for when you sort the datasette or buy another one.

If anyone is interested it is £50 plus p&p (probably around £10). Photos to follow.

I can currently only post on Monday to Weds.

Not the bread bin version then.

I take it that the sound is good?

Not that I need one, I think I have two of these 'modern style' C64s

Yes the SID is present and working. :D

If whoever gets it isn’t happy (because it is not as described) I will refund and take it back.

Oh, I'm not actually after one, as I have a bead bin C64 also

I also have a C128 in the plastic case (although I have lost track of the PSU for it #-o), and a C128 in the metal case with separate keyboard. I have various Amiga computers, I just can't remember which models I have  as they are packed away and I went the Atari ST route after being a 8 bitter...

I once counted how many items I own that have a 8 bit, 16 bit or 32 bit CPU (not including spare CPU chips or microcontrollers) but stopped after going over 100
