For free: two boxes of Acorn mags

Postby nudelooney » Sat Nov 11, 2017 8:34 pm

Hi guys,

(This offer is to anyone going to the Leicestershire meetup next weekend, as the postage costs would be daft for anyone else.)

Would anyone like two boxes of Acorn magazines for free? One box is predominantly Acorn Computing, and the other are Acorn Users from the early 90s (in the days when an Acorn User magazine was between 60 to 80 pages).

I'd saved them from someone else who has about to throw them. I'd intended to rebuild my magazine collection (I used to have EVERY Acorn magazine, before giving them away last time I moved house) but in truth, I just wouldn't have the space to rebuild my collection.

Cheers,

Kris.

Hmmm that's tempting...

I was too young to be bothered with buying magazines when the Beeb was around and by the time I was interested in buying mags, I'd moved over to the Amiga so getting these would be like discovering them for the first time... Now, do I have the space to take them??? I'm sure I'll find some somewhere

If anyone has any spares of the following Micro User magazines it would help bbcmicro.co.uk fill in some info.

Vol.2 issues 1,2
Vol. 3 issues 11,12
Vol.4 issues 1 to 10
Vol.9 issues 11,12

Some, if not all, of those issues are available from 8bs:

Ah yes Mr. Lurkio, but due to the small print in my "beeb-time contract" that Mrs. leenew made me sign, I am not allowed to have the laptop in bed... but I *am* allowed to read a magazine.... so therefore I can get more done with the real mags :D

That's not the reason you gave me for sending two boxes worth of magazines to a special PO mail box....
