I guess the more people you get the lower the price and then ever more people and ever less price and more people .....

Has anyone dropped Mark @ Retroclinic a mail? I should think if anyone want to buy quite a few drives it would be him, and that would bring the price down for all of us as well.

If anyone is looking for a case and PSU for one of these I may be able to help. I recently happened across an untested Opus Challenger 3 which I obviously hoped would work! The RAM discs work fine based on some basic tests - loading and saving to them (it's a 512K version) but the disc drive just makes a whirring noise and does nothing.
On the assumption you can put one of these new drives in the Opus (I can't see why not - the Opus drive is a double sided double density disc drive) then it may be of value to someone? Not only a cool case (in reasonably good condition - I can add photos) but you also get the bonus of 2 time 256k ram discs and Page still set to &E00 as Opus dos on these uses a tiny amount of the RAM disc for its workspace.
If anyone is interested PM me. I paid £39 for it and would be happy to send it on at that plus p&p (not sure how heavy it is and therefore how much that would be).
I also have an original Opus Challenger 3 box I can put it in. It's not brilliant but may add some value to a collector of such things?

BBC model B 32k issue 4, 16k sideways RAM, Watford 12 ROM board, Retroclinic Datacentre + HDD, matchbox co-proc, Viglen twin 40/80 5.25" discs, acorn cassette
BBC model B 32k issue 7, turboMMC, Opus Challenger 3 512k, Pi 3 coproc, Acorn 6502 coproc
