EXDIS disassembler rom image

Postby pstnotpd » Sat Oct 08, 2011 6:43 am

On bbcdocs there is a txt version of the manual for the EXDIS disassembler. This looks pretty interesting but I haven't been able to track an image file for the rom.

http://www.bbcdocs.com/filebase/softwar ... manual.txt

Is it out there?

It's not any of these is it?

errr. there appears to be no end-of-line sequences of any sort in that file.

Yep, no LF (10 dec / 0Ah) and no CR (13 dec / 0Dh) or indeed any other line separators!

Noticed that too. That's how it is posted on bbcdocs. It's the only reference to EXDIS I've found.

For something to do over lunch, I gave my <Return> key a workout

Martin, for your next workout, dig into that archive of yours and see if you can find the ROM image :) . Thus far, this seems to be a pretty scarce item :?

Edit: appreciate the 1st workout though

No worries Martin, it was actually quite a fun exercise because it drew on a fair on Beeb knowledge to make sure it was correct!

I have probed my electronic archive without success but I do have countless discs of roms that I have acquired over the years so I'm going to image those (guess how ) and then have a ferret through. I think there are other very similar capable disassemblers out there but finding the apparently elusive EXDIS has become a challenge in itself

Long dead thread, but did EXDIS resurface in the end?
