Beebug games tapes

Postby leenew » Thu Jun 01, 2017 12:50 am

Hi,
Does anyone have any of the Beebug games tapes?
Tape 1 contains Starfire
Tape 2 contains Moon lander & 3d noughts and crosses
Tape 3 contains shape match, mindbenderand rat splat
Tape 4 contains electric eel

Thanks,
Lee.

**EDIT - Tape 2 received - thank you Lurkio :D
Pulled Tape 1, Tape 4 and 2 thirds of tape 3 from STH....
Just "Rat Splat" required...

I used to have a number of these tapes (including Astro Tracker, Cylon Attack, Magic Eel, Mindbender/Shapematch and Starfire ... though I didn't have the Moonlander cassette).

My entire collection of BBC tapes are now with DaveE of course - but I did archive them as UEF tape images; all have been available on STH for the last 15 years or so ;)

Ah, Dave_E, guardian of many MIAs.

Help us, Dave_E! You're our only hope!

:?:

But, all the games Lee mentioned* are available as UEF files via the link I provided?

* = except Rat Splat; not sure why I would have neglected to dump this, assuming it was actually contained on my copy of the Shape Match/Mind Bender tape. I think I happened to acquire another copy of this recently in amongst some other tapes, so I'll check it out when I next get the chance.

Yes, and thank you! But I was taking a sneaky chance to speak more generally, about the other MIAs I linked to, some of which I believe only Dave_E has got.

Gah! This is true Mark
Although, I have just been back to STH and checked via the "archivesearch.html" page, and only 2 of these games appear.
So.... on this occasion, I will let myself off for being a bit dim :D
Also, Moon Lander and 3D-Noughts and Crosses aren't there, so it looks as if I *did* need that tape of yours after all Lurkio 8)

Lee.
PS Rat Splat anyone?? :-k

No Rat Splat on the tape I have to hand, so you can assume that my old copy (which DaveE now has) is the same as this one. So there must have been two issues of 'Games 3' ...

I'm guessing you saw the recent ebay auction that contained a 'Games 3' tape with Rat Splat mentioned on the label as the third game? Worth contacting the seller to see if they're willing to ask the buyer to email you (with a view to dumping or loaning the tape)?
