Would anybody make a BBC sound chip with MIDI out?

I'm mindful of the old PC and Atari ST games which used MIDI out. Should it be too difficult to have a MIDI-equipped BBC to control organs, computers, samplers or whatever you have as MIDI hardware?

Thanks. The debate flies off into the merits of the Music 5000.

It looks like this kind of thing MUST be hardware. May be vaguely possible to do what the Prophet 64 mod did and use basic MIDI on-MIDI off messages.

But ah well. Nice idea.
