Chelling Specker

Postby BeebMaster » Sat Jan 03, 2015 8:42 pm

Didn't there used to be a spell check in the compose window? The wobbly red underline type comes to mind, but it seems to have gone now. I'm having to read my posts extra carefully to make sure there are no smelling pistakes (C) Gerald Wiley 1971.

Has this feature been removed? Or is it a browser setting that I might have changed?

Or maybe all this was just a recurring dream, like that one I keep having about all the silicon chips from the 1980s reverting to sand all of a sudden...

This is a feature of your browser. Not sure which other browsers support spell checking but Chrome definitely does.

As does FireFox, at least it does work for me sometimes (on StarDot it's okay, but not for some other forums, weird).

I use Firefox, but for some reason the spell checker doesn't work on the BM-laptop. I have the "speck chelling as you type" ticked in Preferences...Advanced...General but nothing is underlined in red.

It works fine on the BM-notebook.

Check also that the correct English dictionary is selected.
