Thanks for sorting that Ed, the download is now available to the beta testing team in the hidden forum.

In addition to posting scores, if competitors could also post the level they reached for each score posted, that would be fab.

As an extra incentive, the winner will be the first to receive a packaged, physical copy of the game when it's available later in the year. Perhaps we can even get Sarah to autograph it haha?

Uhm, I think it was ca. 6000 points or so, end of level 1 I guess, shooting the 2 turrets at the end and whammo, black screen, BBC hangs. Using MMFS. Maybe I will try to setup my Challenger later but likely not, other things to do...

No idea, I used beebem (unix version) and before that Xbeeb ca. 1995-1996, no others and none since 1997!

I just use my BBC B. Though it's been flaky lately, need to remove the ROM board and use contact cleaner :)

Nerves of steel... that's what you'll need to progress far in the game :-k

Wanted to ask about the flash bomb as it seems fairly weak, I try to use it when the vertical lines of enemies approach which seem impossible to clear except when there's only three of them but then impossible to clear another line if you do manage to cleat the first lot. The bomb doesn't seem to harm them at all?

Edit: Level 6 I think

This challenge ends on the 4th Jools so you're good to go for a bit yet.

Just a reminder folks to post any findings about the program in the appropriate thread that you should all have.

Thanks,

Ed...... :-)

Maybe level 7, I lost count, would be nice if the HS table kept track of the level reached.

Jools, stop beating my score [-X

Well, you guys can battle it out, you're way out of my stratosphere for this type of game..... keep on beating it Jools, otherwise FS will get lazy and I don't want that to happen because then it's no challenge for me when we're doing the regular stuff..I want him sharp so he can feel properly beat...

Two days left! Is anyone going to attempt to top Jools' score? FS?

Jools, if you want a challenge, one of the beta testers (who isn't on the forum) managed to reach level 10!!

That score is way out of my realm of expertise but on Monday I'll give it a go until 1:00 my time, that's when the competition is over. I can't quite get past level 3, have been close so many times, just careless or too old, not sure.

It's a great game, I have noted a couple things on the official testers thread so hope there's some chance for those but not game breakers for sure.

Level 4, which seems to be my limit.
