First time play although the electronic score board is vaguely familiar, wish I'd seen it BITD as it's something I'd of been into, pretty tricky game and thankfully can choose keys so I've set it up with good ol' AWD and enter.

The controls are twitchy sensitive but it's balanced by a reasonable top speed limit so even though it's easy to get out of control, the ship can be wrangled back into submission with a few deft blasts of the thrusters .

Reached the following score by only attaining level 2 but shooting almost every barrier each life while getting used to the controls.

Score: 1196

This is a completed level 6 score.... I lost my last life because I couldn't see where my ship was, probably hit a wall.

I didn't think my nerves could be this steady any more.

Best I can do at this time, hats off to you Ed I really don't know how you're doing it =D>

Couple of things I've noticed which may help others, you have endless fuel and ammo, also there is a time limit (not bonus) for the levels so if you live long enough you will progress...

Thanks FS - I find rather than going for all the single point balls, I just try to end the level as quickly as possible. I generally have no real problem getting through levels 4 & 5 once I'm past 3. 3 for me is a 'nemesis' type level. If I try for the extra balls on 2 I usually get careless and hit something destructive so.... quicker through is better for me. The controls are very sensitive and it's an 'acquired' taste.

In this game, every step, however small, is significant and difficult to get.... good job.

Hi Folks,

Here's a video of me playing the first 6 levels (where I crashed unceremoniously).

Hope it can be of some help to you in this game.

Great vid Ed, I'm pretty much playing the same as you although your thrust control seems a bit finer in tricky spots whereas I tend to over or under steer or thrust and then need to compensate a bit more... practice practice.

Level 3 on gets insanely hard, I haven't made it to the last level in you vid which looks crazy

Hi FS,

Yup, level 6 is absolutely nuts. I'd say it's a matter of developing both patience and not panic in tough situations to get further in this game. I've been to level 7 twice, just not enough to get a good handle on it. One time I'm hoping to get out of level 6 with all my lives so I have a chance to figure out level 7. What I already do know is you have to do it quickly or the 'worms' grow until you have no escape.... so quick and precise execution is essential.
