8-Bit Software for wgetters

Postby cjr8bs » Wed Apr 17, 2013 1:23 pm

UPDATE 20/07/2017
Thanks to danielj for http://8bs.whelks.com :D

Just finished a big update, here's the new links

Whelks has now got a copy (of everything except the htm pages) of the 8-Bit Software website on it. The shtml pages on whelks simply list the links of stuff in directories and their sub directories to allow wget or programs like WinHTTrack to download vast swathes in one go.

wget -r http://8bs.whelks.com/othrdnld.shtml - Everything except Music, Pool, Scans and See

Here's the rest:

wget -r http://8bs.whelks.com/rover.shtml Barnsley Rovers
wget -r http://8bs.whelks.com/music.shtml Music
wget -r http://8bs.whelks.com/scans.shtml Scans of covers
wget -r http://8bs.whelks.com/see.shtml Photographs
wget -r http://8bs.whelks.com/pool.shtml The Disc Images

Please don't publish these links elsewhere. Don't want to fry whelks

Yey :) Thanks Chris.

And I should say, go easy - In theory it's unlimited bandwidth but doing it in chunks over a few days would definitely be more friendly! (and there is a don't take-the-piss clause in the service agreement...).
