Sometimes you know (remember) more of my collection than me! :P
Yes, i've got this... it's protected with some tracks with deleted data, and curiously doesn't work properly with the latest cobbled together FSDBeebEM... but i've found an older version which it's happy with, so will try to look at it ASAP (unless it appears before that) :)

Not A Penny More Not A Penny Less
The protection overreads a sector and expects a certain value to be in the overread location.
I've not playtested it extensively.

hobbit2, well last file is a bit to large for a normal beeb, and can't mind how to turn *Shadow on in a master  plus would also need swram to get it >&8000 so can save it to disc, as the *CAT would end up all over the code at E00 or 1900.

here is it so far, but last file HOBGAME will have errors due to screen junk...

may just be same as the other version 1.00 :?

Hi,
Can anyone confirm if this disc image from the STH archive of "Dr. Who And The Warlord" works on their install of BeebEm, BEm, or real beeb, or master...
In fact does it work for anyone at all?

I tried it on BeebEm and it runs ok for the most part. It loads a part A or part B menu and then if you select part A it briefly shows you a nice loading screen which quickly turns garbled.
If you press enter you then start the game. I have wandered around a bit and it seems ok. I got as far as killing myself trying to climb a ravine.

Part B does the same with the menu. It then asks you if you want to load from part A. I said no and it launched ok.

What version of BeebEm are you using? What config?

I can't get the game to run in BeebEm at all. It hangs on the garbled screen after I choose Part A from the menu.

You have to press Return at the garbled screen, and then the game runs!

Sometimes random mashing of the keys does work.
