Hi Duikkie, there is a error in the game. If you press T to buy a ticket and then go to nottingham, you get a "Error in Adventure" message and it restarts.

Not sure if this is a bug with the original game or in the transfer, So do you have the original tape/disc image and can you post that here for checking.

I obtained some inlay instructions for this game and would like to include it on one of my newer games discs.

Again, good work in finding the game and posting it.

regards,
Mick.

PS nearly forgot, As this game uses the Incentive Adventure Creator utility, the same graphics glitch appears under BeebEm that affected Winter Wonderland and The Alien from Outer Space.
It works fine under b-em, but the same error when going to nottingham occurs.

Hi Duikkie,

Using the files from Pernod's disc, I have been able to make a disc version that works properly and I have added the inlay info to a new instruction file.

Also, because the filenames now match those on the 2 Incentive games that have been corrected for BeebEm, I have been able to add the same fix for the graphics glitch to the ADV1 file at &61BC.

Doesn't appear to have fixed it...
Also, the code at &61BC is now

Code: Select all

61BA LDA #&02
61BC LDA #&02
61BE STA &01A9
61C1 STA &FE01

From the A9 01, I assume you were trying to LDA#1 to put it somewhere

Hi Bill,
Well the fix is the same as the fix on the 2 Incentive games.
It always has been a temporary fix and hopefully one of the BeebEm authors will address this issue.

Obviously, for now playing the game under b-em is the best way to go. However, I am sure a fix for BeebEm cannot be out of the question as other issues with it have been resolved in the past.

regards,
Mick.

I've attempted to change the code something that gives the result like in B-Em, although instead of "shaking" the text now has a "shadow" above it, but it's in line!

Code: Select all

        Original          Changed
61B0    LDA #01           LDA #01
61B2    STA &FE00         STA &FE00
61B5    LDA #00           LDA #02
61B7    STA &FE01         STA &FE01
61BA    LDA #02           LDA #02
61BC    STA &FE00         STA &FE00
61BF    LDA #31           LDA #32
61C1    STA &FE01         STA &FE01
