Beeb Modem Cable

Postby jjthacker » Sat Dec 02, 2017 12:14 pm

Does anybody have a wiring diagram for a beeb to 9 pin modem cable (not null-modem)?

Tried searching for this, but every link seems to come back with a null-modem cable, which is not what I need.

Thanks,

Jason

You just need to make sure rx/tx go to tx/rx, and rts/cts go to cts/rts. If null isn't working, swap the rx/tx and cts/rts over on one end.

Thanks for the reply, but the link seems to be for a null-modem cable, which is exactly what I don't want.

To convert to a regular modem cable do I just need to reverse the CTS/RTS lines? Or are there other cabling changes?

Yes, and the rx/tx lines. Only on one side!

Edit: sorry, rd and td - basically the data receive and transmit lines.
