FAO: Anyone coming to the meetup this weekend.

Postby Prime » Thu Aug 25, 2016 2:47 pm

Hi all,

Thought this was better as a seperate post.....

I have a couple of bits and bobs I'm looking to get rid of, that I could bring along with me to Cambridge if anyone wants them.

On the Acorn side, I have :

A (Watford I think) 16 ROM SWR board, condition unknown, but was working when it was removed from a Beeb at work about 15 years ago........
A Dual switchable 5.25" drive, I may also have another but not sure if it's switchable.
I still have about 5 Athlon 64 type motherboards (I'll list later) if anyone is interested, and also a bunch of ISA / PCI / PCIE cards, most of them video or I/O cards (if anyone wants anything specific, ask and I'll have a dig), there are a couple of SB Lives + Livedrive.

I don't want anything for these (though offers of beer always greatfully received.....), just want to get rid of things.

Cheers.

Phill.

I could do with a single core athlon if you have one and the 5.25 drive would be great. Beer is a curency that I am familiar with ;)

What video cards do you have? I know it's a long shot given the mention of Athlon 64, but do you have any old (ie 90s) ISA/PCI video cards?

Are there any YM3912 chips on the Soundblasters?
Otherwise they can be used for the Beeb OPL project.

Greetings
Kees

Having initially struggled to get hold of these chips, I am now drowning in a sea of YM3812s (and the Y3014B DACs), so there is no need to pull chips from old boards.

Are we talking Athlon 64 or Athlon XP? And board or just the CPU?
Drives are yours since you where the first to ask.

Any Athlon that will run win98 is fine, with a motherboard please, if it doesn't have on board video, then a compatible video card would be a bonus.
I think the 64s, or at least the one I have, is a dual core and the BIOS I have can't turn the second core off.
