you can't use the old t.dfstemp.

at &93ed : LDA #&FF:pha:jmp &9341. this is the soft reset :)

normal :

&9338 lda #&ff
&933A PHA
&933B JSR CLEARAREA / clears &d00..&d6f
&933E JSR ORGBEEB / fill &d70 with beeb .mmb
&933F NOP
&9340 NOP
&9341 JSR ......

&9338 is start point *dmmc

discover a bug : when you have *drom it delete the beeb.mmb variable
so fixed it
replace beeb.mmb at &d80 (was &d70)

I'm qualified to say "Awesome work!" now :D - 50p sd card reader, bodged cable, and it's working perfectly with an 8gb kingston sd card.

Am I right in thinking you can have multiple MMB files? I can't quite see how that works (but I'm probably being a bit stupid/lazy).

Somewhere on the first page of this thread:

duikkie wrote:...
you can use multi beeb.mmb files on 1 sd card

the limit is 510 files of 200mb :)

*beeb is the standaard file beeb.mmb
*beebxxxx is the file of the next => xxxx is from 0 to 510
...

Should the new ROM remember which beeb.mmb file you've selected on break? Mine seems to just default back to beeb.mmb when I hit break, even if I've selected a different one? This is the latest version, on a master...

which commando do you use after the break ?

i have dfs (discdrive) in my beeb.
if i hit break then default is discdrive

but if i use *card to go back to sd card it remembers the beebxxxx.mmb
if you use *dmmc it always go back to default.

what hapens when you only have smart- spi rom ?? tomorrow maybe i can try that #-o

On the master it sticks with the last file system on break, unless you use ctrl-break in which case it goes to default filesystem (1770 dfs for me).

If I hit break then *. it goes back to beeb.mmb, not beebxxx.mmb. Same if I ctrl-break then *CARD again. :?

i will look at it , i don't have a master. but i know what the problem is. somewhere it reset the smart spi rom. on the beeb it is the same, except when using *card.

i don't no if i can fix this , because on default and start-up it must be beeb.mmb. :(
maybe i have to check if warm or cold break ?

Is there any chance of an Electron version for the Printer port like the recent MMFS version?

i don't know yet , i rather see my SMART-USB with a usb stick working out. i think it is faster and the parts are as cheap as modifing the printerport. ch376s module is 2 ponds, a chip selector 0.5 ? board and eeprom ?

the ch376s module in parallel bit transfer.

but if anyone want to modify the smelk rom go ahead . all are there in a ssd file

Duikkie,

I recently made an SDCard drive for my beeb using your great Smart SPI rom & I'm really pleased with it. Now someone has asked if I would be willing to sell some of these card readers. Therefore I was wondering if I could have your permission to supply the card readers with your Smart SPI rom image?
I'm not a commercial business and I only intend to make a small batch of these card readers.

Many Thanks,

Jason.

Thanks Duikkie!

I certainly will be looking out for your future projects - the USER/TUBE DOS sounds interesting - how will that work?

sssssssssssssssssssssssss for my eyes only sssssssssssssssssssss

you take a sd card from your pc with beeb stuff on it ( like ssd files / roms (maybe) )
put it in the beeb sd card holder or ch375b (usb stick)

and load it in beeb memory like a drive or in mem (uploading to rom)

commands like dosdir ( displays dosdirectory (filenames )on beeb screen)
doscd ( to change directory on sd card)
dosload or import ( to load a ssd file)

no beeb.mmb anymore :) and all its commands.

So, a kind of native DOS FAT support for the Beeb? - that would be good.
