Acornsoft Workshop inlay instructions?

Postby pau1ie » Sat Nov 11, 2017 11:06 pm

A UEF of this is in Flaxcottages educational archive, but without instructions. It seems impossible to play without instructions. Does anyone have the cassette inlay that they could scan/photograph/transcribe?
Hoglet may have had it at some stage?

Sorry Paul, I just checked (and looked at the pictures in the thread above again), and I don't think I ever had this.

The list I quoted seems to be the full list from here.

I'll try to get this sorted, when time permits, unless somebody posts it in the meantime...
Any specific settings i should be using when scanning?
It's a little A5-ish size booklet.
I've got the keystrip too!
And the disk image :)

If you're scanning monochrome (black and white) text -- and if you DON'T want high-resolution archive-quality scans -- then use your scanner's "Text" setting (image bit-depth = 1). And 300 dpi. If there's too much "noise" in the scanned image, adjust the scanner's "Threshold" setting.

But if you're scanning in colour... you're on your own!

Wow, Thanks, that would be brilliant.

I don't know. 300dpi seems reasonable. I will probably create a PDF version.

Yes please, I will include that too...

I think the disc image I have is assembled from a tape image, so that would be handy if you have time.
