Hello again all.

New place of employment, new stack of BBC software found!

This time its a suite of Geography programs by Michael Jay Publications. I've done a quick scan and can't see it in the archive. Is it a "Missing In Action" publisher?

Looks like it! Are you able to upload the actual software as disc- or tape-images? If not, can you upload a photo of the boxes and/or the discs/tapes? Or at least a list of the titles?

Definitely MIA!

These need archiving. [-o< There are many of us on the forum who can do this, myself included. If you are not able to do the archiving yourself, then we can do so and will take very great care of the originals. :D

Hi John,

I think you did some discs for me last time. Are you near the Crags? :D

I tried imaging the discs with Omniflop but they didn't read in an emulator. Will dig out the Master and try them.

Good luck! Btw, did you ever dig up those AlchNews issues?:

Thanks for the reminder. Will start uploading now!

Issues 1-32 are TAP format for any Spectrum emulator.

33 onwards are standard PDFs

Thanks! Do you know which issue numbers have your articles on GAC, PAW and Quill?

Having a look at these disks again, with the aim of using OMNIDISK and OMNIFLOP to image.

Image

Several are 5.25", but the 3.5" ones appear to be in RM Nimbus format. That explains why they won't run on the Beeb or why they won't image.

Confirmed it by opening the floppy on the PC, full of .BBC files

I'm interested in the Nimbus software if you manage to image them.

Before I forget... two disks I found from Michael Jay Publications,

MJP1 Drawing Graphs

and

MJP5 Crystal Structure

just standard 40 track disks, without protection.
