Replacing A30x0 battery

Postby JCUK » Tue Nov 21, 2017 1:44 pm

Hi folks,

A bit of advice - if I want to replace the CMOS battery on an A30x0/A4000, will a rechargeable AA battery be ok? Rather than a non rechargeable one with a diode.

Cheers!

Yes, use a NiMH, preferably with a low-self discharge rate such as an eneloop. Low capacity are often better in this regard (usually AAAs rather than AAs).
