Hi there!

Postby roli » Sat Jun 24, 2017 11:07 pm

I recently acquired three Acorn Electrons and need some help getting all three into working order. So I googled around and found this place.

I am 24 and from a little country called Slovenia. I work as a programmer (iOS if you must know) but have always been interested in the old school computers. So a year ago I started collecting and fixing them.

Ever since watching the movie Micro Men I wanted to get my hands on an Acorn Electron or the BBC micro. And last week I finally found three for a bargain (in supposedly non-working order). Otherwise I have a lot of love for Acorn since they basically invented the ARM chip and in a way made my job possible.

Welcome from a fellow Acorn Electron user! :D

Good luck with your attempts to fix your Electrons. I see you are already on your way to diagnosing the problems with them. :)

Hi Roli,

Somebody on this forum sometimes named me Roly - I think it's confusing if he does that again :)

Any ways, welcome to this forum, enjoy your visits here.

Greetings from the south of the Netherlands,

Thanks for the warm welcome!
So while the Electrons are now alive, I am sure that I will have many more questions soon. :)
