If you read the Retro Software forum or Wiki, you will have already seen this. Sorry for the double post. :)

I just thought I'd let folks know that I've made another demo of Castle Raider to show recent progress. Those of you with Electron envy will be relieved to know that there's also a UEF included that should run on the Beeb.

Have fun!

I was going to build this at the weekend to have a play but I was busy all weekend (ironically, working for the Beeb rather than on it) - so I'm delighted I'll be able to use a UEF.

Castle Raider has the makings of a stunningly good game. I can't wait to have a play! =D>

Just played it right through until you drop down onto the lower level, turn around and have to tackle the myriad of small platforms (which I couldn't quite negotiate, but I'll give it another try!).

Thanks for posting another demo - seems to be progressing really nicely now. Good to see some enemies in there too!

What's the significance of changing your character? I saw one had a hat :)

I'd like to allow the player to choose between boy and girl characters, like in Citadel, so that someone doesn't need to modify the game later on - though they're welcome to do something like that if they want to. :)

Cheers, Mr McD. :) You know I'll put in the extra work to do an ADFS version, just for you.

Hey, how about a whole game based on ADFS ... you are the valiant DFS defender, hiding behind your BBC bases, and the aliens are attacking (maybe that's what the A in ADFS is for) - they bomb you with extra commands and tree structures and so on ...
