fix for elixir !!

i am looking for people who things like playing games

because i never play , i only fix things :)

download elixtest file

*run elixir2

it is not finisch yet because the intro , instuctions en maybe keychange is in file 1
what i have to make.

but is my fix for mmc/sd card good and do the game play as normal ??

standaard keys are z x * ?

If you press RETURN on the status screen on beebem, the font's corrupted. Not sure if this is the same on a real beeb I'm afraid :(

the same problems with *disc and so on
but this program does it in an other way . it ask the *dir and drive store it , recall the *disc. and the d00-1100 thing
it does a swap with &d00 : use overlay programming loading 2b00 +870 in over the program that is not usefull anymore like the instructions and key change with starts at &31bc till &337b , swap area &d00 with 337b ..347b.
and the 400-d00 was loading from elixir1 program

so the startup routine was lifted from 31cb mostly moved to 6500 everything is downloaded to its place and elix3 is already at 2b00 +870 : the mode switch is at 3a0 now then calling &42xx to start
that all :)

when do you get status screen ?? is this at the end of game or when you are x died ?

i did not know the game has a status screen , but it is not good , in disc version on real disc it is normaal

have to look in files where the status screen is coming from and what i have done or forgot to do :)

further on playing all oke ??

yes that is because elix2 at &31CB is doing , but somehow it is wrong when the game is playing ??
but i do not understand sh*t around this locations :(

Hi,

This new version also has the corruption on BeebEm4.14

The original disc version copied onto my disc034 works fine on both BeebEm and B-em, so the problem must be either with the ELIXIR2 file on the test disc or is something missing from one of the earlier files?

Duikkie,

I think I found the problem,the problem is writing &2B to &036A at address &6538.
If I change this value back to &05, as in the original game, the font is ok.

Looking at the code, I think it's a typing failure, STA &036A should be STX &036A.
Your notes were ok ...... :wink:

almost there :) update for testing

*run elixir1 =intro and key switch if you want

it runs elixir2 (can run on its own if not after elixir1 then standaard keys are loaded , if &3bx after /elixir2 is not EA)

to do

some begin screen from software house and elixir screen before intro :)

this i think i call elixir :shock: :^o

it works fine with normal floppy discs, works fine also with SuperMMC 0.90,
but does not like the MMFS due to Dave's (as per) good explanation:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10621&start=660#p178172

Just had a go on my MMFS 1.36 with the latest 'ELIXTEST0903' and works :D

ELIXIR 99,9% GOOD

a few bugs left but i think most of the players don't mind [-o<


if the game starts it overlay the mode 5 screen for downloading the intro , and also if you start to play

i can fix this by everytime switching of the screen or goto mode 7 . but nobody is perfect , so i all it finisched
