(yet another) identify educational game from vague description

Postby joachim » Mon Sep 12, 2016 4:26 pm

… a text game in which you had to execute a trip around the world, buying plane tickets and experiencing random hazards. Your itinerary of cities was chosen for you (mine included Karachi of which I'd never heard) but was different every game. A time limit (in terms of days/hours to get back to London) was an important part of the game — all my planes were hours late except the very last one back to London, which was about 15 minutes early due to following winds …

… ring any bells?

It does seem a similar concept, doesn't it? But I don't think it is … I think there was more flavour-text and less game-mechanics. Also, World Travel Game is conspicuously based on Waddingtons' Travel Go, and I would have remembered that.

It could be "Round the World", I'd definitely be interested in looking at that if anyone ever tracks down a copy. (Is there somewhere educational finds get uploaded these days, now that STH archive isn't being updated?)
