Re: Acorn Electron modern storage solutions question

On order: AP5, BeebSCSI, ADFS Rom, AP6 Rom and memory. Questions\thoughts:- Using the above equipment, could I build a floppy disc controller which connects to a user port and use a gotek flashyfloppy? If so what would I need? There's an MMB version that works with the AP5. Dave (Hoglet) will proba...

The colour I've been given for the range of new cases I'm having made is: BS10B17 Oatmeal (the actual number they gave was BS10B17 SG - not sure what the SG stands for, though). Re: Pegasus, New AP5 and New AP3/4 Painted Metal case

An up date and explanation of the appalling delay in the manufacture and delivery of the metal cases. None of my holidays, visits to look after my Dad and time in hospital has contributed to any delay. The order was placed with the fabricators at the back-end of September! Broken laser, catching up ...

Yes and no . . . It would be a lot harder with the hot-air blower than a desolder station and more likely to do damage!

I had two . . . The one I kept is an Ungar - the one I let go was a Pace - but I can't remember who I gave/sold it to (if it's YOU then I've found some more bit and pieces for it, so contact me!) I think Weller may have taken-over Ungar, as some of the images (Google) show a similar set-up with thei...

Re: Program Power Programmer's Toolbox ROM

Couldn't you use a proceeding letter to differentiate between different ROM commands - as seems to be a common method elsewhere? If you didn't have the source, a letter of the command was changed by poking another letter direct in the romcode. Greetings Kees I'd guessed that . . . But thought a fir...

In all seriousness, back when I was an impecunious student writing RISC OS device drivers, my boss discovered a colour of Halfords car spray paint which was as close to Archimedes beige as made no odds. We sprayed a whole bunch of podule back panels with it and customers didn't complain. (-8 Podual...
