Re: Alien Jailbreak: a new Beeb text adventure (GAC)

You should definitely do that! Haha, I've just loaded my old GAC disc, and found the first 3 locations of Calypso on it, ace! But onto pastures new, I feel.. :-k edit: I've just had a stab and got it all working, fairly frustrating compared to modern tools but might be something worth investigating...

Re: Alien Jailbreak: a new Beeb text adventure (GAC)

Ah, maybe one day... but that would require me to come up with ideas of my own, wouldn't it? That's the hitch! Ah, that's the easy bit, the hardest thing is seeing it all through! GAC sounds decent. Actually I intended to write Calypso using it, and bought a copy off eBay so I could use the thing. ...

Had a great time, nice to meet some new faces this year, as well as the usual mix of interesting new games and enthusiasm!

I also saw something pretty rare - a man trying a curry for the first time! Great stuff =D>

Re: Mountain Panic available at Play

I have nothing against people buying the SSD, I wanted a physical copy for myself, but if more people wanted it then all the better. If you can sort out a price with Dave M I'll happily send one over, or Dave can. What I was keen on was raising a small amount for Retro Software for all the effort th...

Re: Calypso

Dave, first of all, that cover is awesome! Thanks, although I can't take credit for that, a friend did it for me. I just thought it'd be nice if it was done in an Acornsoft style - always loved the countdown to doom one. Secondly, I've PM'd you some feedback on what I've played of the game so far. ...

Calypso

Hello This might be of interest to some of you - recently I've been having a go at creating a text adventure. It's quite small, but hopefully well formed (as they say). For extra BBC Micro bonus points, I've had the cover made in a Retro Acornsoft style: http://www.papasgong.com/calypso/logo_acornso...

Re: New batch of MOUNTAIN PANIC (BBC) discs available!

Hi

I think you sent me a PM about it but I can't reply as my inbox is full and I haven't currently got the willpower required to go tidying it up.

Hopefully you will hear something now you've ordered. Let me know if not though and I'll try and work something out.

Cheers

Re: Datacantre troubles creating real disks

Hi

Not sure if it's related but when I used the DataCentre to create Mountain Panic images, I had to first create a 40 track 100K blank SSD, import that, copy the files to that image, then export that image at 100K from the DataCentre.
