First Word Plus

Hi all

Does anyone have a copy of First Word Plus which works on the RPC?

Did it ever work on that thing?

Having trouble getting this to run at all (with a variety of ROM images)

Anyone else had any luck? I have a hard disk image and wouldn't mind getting the data off it (.hd4)

Re: Advice on Arc game programming

Having tried to code Gauntlet on the A310 back in the 80's I can see just how impressive that bit of coding is. I found some source code for that a while back, but the demo with loads of ghosts chasing you seems to be missing. RoadBlasters faired a bit better, you can drive along and see bends appe...

Re: I'm working on a version of Super Breakout

Always back up your work. Time to start again. Yet again. Bah, that's rough, and all the more frustrating when time is at such a premium these days. Could be worth checking out Mercurial or Git for source control? Make sure you push your changes remotely now and then, or even set up a GitHub account.

Re: BBC Micro & Acorn User Group NORTH, 22 Nov HALIFAX

Just tried the mobile site, it would let me book a family room for two nights for 2 Adults, 1 Child but not 2 Adults, 2 Children - assume that's what the problem was? Yeah - 2 adults, 2 kids. If I come over Friday I can make the curry. To be honest could do with being back for Sunday anyway, but I ...

OK what I've done is just booked the Friday, that way I can make the curry and have a few beers.

Can't stay over on the Saturday night (mainly due to there being no rooms haha), but should be able to hang around until 5 or so.

Looking forward to it

I couldn't get in to that Premier Inn for both Fri & Sat so I'm in two minds what to do Do people typically stay until 10pm? Don't want to book the night there to find out I'm sat on my own in a dark room with a BBC come 9pm  Daniel could you possibly bring your kryoflux? Ive got a few old...

Ace, did it get finished then? I wouldn't mind a copy if there is one kicking about.

I know it was being developed (I think) by one of the Arc Angels demo group? Was it Fabrice Mercier or something like that?

Love Emacs? Love Frak? Look no further!

In my latest bout of madness, I've added a buffer position indicator to Emacs based on the Frak hero Trogg! It's heavily inspired (ie nicked from) the nyan cat extension for Emacs, but since that didn't mean much to me, I decided to make it do Trogg's yoyo instead :) https://raw.githubusercontent.co...

Inter-Sheet : 2 ROMS?

I've recently bought Inter-Sheet for my BBC, and noticed it comes as two ROMS. I have a basic DataCentre BBC, but I believe I can *SRLOAD rom images to it. Since I don't have space on my board, I downloaded the InterSheet ROM and when I try it I get: SHEET ROM not installed So I presume I need that ...
