I've had a brief go on this version in Win BeebEm 4.14 (under WINE on a Mac) and I can't get it to crash.

I haven't looked into it, but if TKV overwrites vectors in page &0D, then the game will probably need some fairly serious hacking to get it to save to any filesystem other than tape, even on a Master.

Thanks. I've updated the entry for Zen , and it works -- but because the disc-drive noises make the latest version of JSBeeb painfully slow to load* games, I'm minded to wait and see if Matt finds time to implement a "noises-off" switch in the near future before I start changing other entr...

Re: jsbeeb - a Javascript emulator

I think disc drive noises should be a user setting (saved and persisted per user, rather than as part of the URL) - do you think? Well, I think that for bbcmicro.co.uk , a URL parameter to control disc-drive noise would be really good to have because currently all games that are launched in JSBeeb ...

Re: jsbeeb - a Javascript emulator

It's absolutely on my TODO list... Thanks, Matt! The write-access update to JSBeeb is great. Any chance you could make the disc-drive noises optional? That would be ideal for bbcmicro.co.uk, which currently uses an earlier version of JSBeeb which doesn't implement the noises and thus loads games &q...

This is good news, and should reduce the number of games we can't play. Should we wait for the latest version to bed in, or shall I just whack it in and hope for the best? The latest version of JSBeeb enables write-access to disc, which is great -- but the disadvantage is that it includes disc-driv...

The Master version needs ... Looks fantastic! Will you be keeping an eye on JSBeeb compatibility too, Kieran? Don't know if this applies to PoP, but one sticking point might be write-access to disc, which JSBeeb still doesn't support -- although if Matt were to find the time to implement it, it wou...
