Re: P.R.E.S. AP5 - Original and Re-Design

Just wanted to say that this board is wonderful. I finally got around to soldering up a 9 pin connector to test the usb serial link on the (E)UPURS and everything is lovely. I sent a dsd floppy image to the laptop and one back to the Electron and all is good, I have tested the Beeb compatible user p...

Re: ZOMBIES ATE OUR ROADIES!

The UEF file is a bit odd. It seems to include junk data at the end of each file block, so either my understanding of UEF files is incomplete or BeebEm is doing something strange. I can make a cleaned up version of the UEF if required. It might just be the noisy sound file I converted it from. It s...

Re: ZOMBIES ATE OUR ROADIES!

I would prefer it if you didn't release it as an improved/more efficient version of what I've already done; that's the game the way it is and that's how I have released it as a completed version (whether you think it was done in the most organised or efficient way is a different matter). It was just...

Re: help needed with Quill

Is the P.flyer file on the disk needed? I'm guessing that the ZAOR image isn't used at all. In which case, if the load order is $.LOADER $.ZAORCV $.INST $.BIBM then I can make a UEF for you right away. :) Hi David, I think I've cracked it! I loaded BIBM into memory from disc then saved it to tape a...

Re: help needed with Quill

I should have said: when you load the database from the hacked version into the official version and examine the various tables (vocab, objects, etc,) they are all gobbledegook. In fact, when you 'list' the vocab table it even changes into mode 3 and properly poops itself

*now solved* help needed with Quill

hey all, Up until now, I've been happily using the hacked version of the Quill that allowed saving of databases and finalised adventures to disc. This has been fine and no errors have been encountered. In typical Stu fashion, i need to do something a bit funky now though - my latest adventure (ZAOR!...

Re: ZOMBIES ATE OUR ROADIES!

Any chance you could also distribute this in non-physical form, as a .SSD disc-image? Someone is bound to put an .SSD image out there eventually, but I'm trying to keep it old skooool with a good old fashioned disc. Even on Stardot, there might be people who would like to play your game but for who...
