Re: secondary genre / games that are clones or knockoffs

Hi all, Yes, this happened sort of accidentally. When I was creating my spreasheet, before bbcmicro.co.uk existed, I maded a note of any game that reminded me of an arcade game, and listed the original arcade title in the genre field. These were done off the top of my head and clearly there will be ...

Re: Compatability - mulling over new feature

Cheers Paul,
I will have a go at populating all the games that were advertised as being compatible with the Model A tomorrow.
I will use this list that I came up with: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13982&p=186214&hilit=16k#p186130

The Micro User "Christmas Crackers".

Hi, I have been trawling the Micro User magazines, and I beileve I have collated every game they (And Acorn Computing) released. I have sent all the missing ones to Michael Brown to use on his upcoming discs. However... One tape/disc eludes me. "Christmas Crackers". Now, before you say &qu...

Re: Best 16K commercial games ?

Having trawled some old magazines (mainly from 1982 and early 1983, as Model A games tend to fade away after this point), and checking the STH Cover scan archive, I have come up with this list: A&F Software Tower Of Alos Acornsoft Breakout - Arcade Action Acornsoft Dodgems - Arcade Action Acorns...

Re: ABUG EAST MIDLANDS (Winter Warmer) 17-19 November 2017 (Leicestershire) BOOKING THREAD

I know some of you are fetching duplicate magazines. If anyone has any spares of the following Micro User magazines it would help bbcmicro.co.uk fill in some info. Vol.2 issues 1,2 Vol. 3 issues 11,12 Vol.4 issues 1 to 10 Vol.9 issues 11,12 Maybe John Flaxcottage could retrieve them if there are any...

Re: For free: two boxes of Acorn mags

Ah yes Mr. Lurkio, but due to the small print in my "beeb-time contract" that Mrs. leenew made me sign, I am not allowed to have the laptop in bed... but I *am* allowed to read a magazine.... so therefore I can get more done with the real mags :D

Re: Compatability - mulling over new feature

What would you suggest here joachim? If this feature gets implemented, my first task will be to add all the Model 'A' games that I find in the old magazines, then highlight the few games we have that don't work on a Model 'B', or REQUIRE a Master. I would be hoping for help with the 'Master compatib...

Re: Uridium ssd file not found

So, that's all well and good, but it doesn't explain why Mick's version failed in JSBeeb but worked in other emulators (and also worked on a real Beeb, presumably -- Lee will be able to confirm that)! So the bug report for JSBeeb is still valid, I think. It could be that JSBeeb is emulating everyth...

I know you like your adventure games...
So the first 4 "Mysterious Adventures" from Brian Howarth fit in 16K.
Golden Baton, Time Machine, Arrow of Death part1 and Arrow of Death part 2.
Model A invaders from IJK obviously :D
