Hi Paul,
The ss.php is my absolute reference now, so you can add anything to it :D
If there is any work for me to do, just let me know.
I can usually get away with doing a little titivating spreadsheets at work

Personal Computer World magazine

Hi,
Does anyone here collect, or have access to PCW (Personal Computer World) magazine?
I am looking for any issue that may have games for the BBC Micro or Electron, so issues between 1982 and 1988 would be of the most interest.
Thanks

Re: Cleaning up game titles on Details pages

So to use the above example of "Island, The":
This would display as "The Island" but when browsing the site alphabetically, it would appear with the I's and not the T's. Is that correct?
That's what I would want!

Re: (OT?) What's that simple game with converging enemies?

There were a few versions of this. The commercial one that I recall is called "Zombies" from Micro Power.: http://www.bbcmicro.co.uk/game.php?id=1386 There are a couple of magazine versions that I haven't got round to uploading to bbcmicro.co.uk yet. The most basic one that we *do* have, i...

You're not in marketing, are you?  Ha ha! In fact it could be the "negative sell"! "You wouldn't want this car madam. Too fast, and not very economical".... It looks as if the author ran out of enthusiasm once the title screen was done. I will try and give it a go t...

Re: Video fault

A VTI VC2069 should have S26 fitted in the east position.
If you have a VTI VC2023 then no link should be fitted at S26 but there should be a wire link on the underside of the motherboard.
If you have a VTI VC2023 and fit link S26 you will see garbage on screen.

Re: Video fault

As Rob says above, I don't think a VC2023 needs ANY link.
I think putting the link in may well give the corruption you are seeing.

Re: Questions about BBC B memory fault

The defender problem has been talked about before, and I think there are a couple of things that can cause the aliens to clump. If I play this image on bbcmicro.co.uk http://www.bbcmicro.co.uk/game.php?id=2376 it plays fine in jsbeeb on my pc. If I download that same image, and play it on the same P...

Re: Unfinished Text Adventures

Yep, this is a mystery.
I have searched for it before without success.
I can only think that it wasn't as finished as they were making out?
The best bet would be to ask Robert or Mike O'Leary of Robico if anyone can come up with any contact details.

Hi,
Yes, Mission Alpha 3D by Doctor Soft is still missing.
I believe Kon-Tiki is an educational title, and may therefore be has been crossed off the list.
The educational archive may still want to find it though!
