Did you know . . .

As seen and described on Big Clive (about 18min in) here. A desoldering aid for plated through holes here. These will be a good tool to use if you don't have a desolder station and a good price.

Re: Instant Mini Office II

Just checked A14 in the 27C256s. All pin 27s (A14) are connected together and are driven from a D Flip-Flop (74LS175) so the board holds 256K of code

When I get time I'll draft the schematic out . . .

Re: AP5, Pegasus/AP3-4/EUPURS Metal Case Design

Just out of interest, what's the ballpark price for this kind of thing, for what kind of quantity? I'm having made a total of 200 pieces - Individually charged as three products for the cutting and forming and made some quantity saving at the painters. Prices are tentative (shouldn't move - just ha...

Re: AP5, Pegasus/AP3-4/EUPURS Metal Case Design

While I'm here and remembering  One of the reasons the whole project has taken so long is MartinB's EUPURS. No fixing holes! So, I finally have a solution - it involves drilling holes in the EUPURS! But it's relatively easy e.g. no measurements! . . . There is 'one' hole that isn't used and be...

Re: Making reasonable progress with a Sudoku solver

PAGE/run address is $1900 in the Model B version, would a build with it set to $1D00 be better? I'm not sure it matters? Perhaps others may have an opinion. My view is: you're not using ADFS so would it matter? I'm sorry, I'm new here, I don't know what an "MGC" is? Mega Games Cartridge o...

Testing results - System: Electron with Acorn Plus 3 and GOSDC with E00 DFS - Page at 1D00.

Master version doesn't work, as expected!

Beeb version works just fine :D =D> another game for the MGC if that would be OK ? [-o<

I'd recommend the following, in the first instance. (1) Remove Plus 1, if fitted(?) (2) Reseat any socketed parts on the MRB (3) Remove ULA - clean and re-fit.

Oh! Forgot to mention that the ROMs were all 27C256 parts. The 2 x 16K images looked identical, with a quick glance - but may not be!! I could have looked at the A14s on the PCB!

Re: Acorn Archimedes Disk Image

Jon Welch's ADFS Explorer 'should' open this .adf file, however, there seems to be an issue with large files - I found this when I tried to open a few of my BeebSCSImini files. Jon is aware of this and has sent me a Window version that's been modified to handle these large files. I have it on my man...
