Re: Emulator support for VideoNuLA

Ok, so I have created a branch on the Stardot B-Em repository which has the horizontal scroll and blanking changes above merged into the master from the B-Em Stardot repository. Additionally, this version has an option to enable/disable Video NuLA as Kieran suggested above - it is in the Video sect...

Re: Adventures for your BBC micro BOOK on eBay

Finally, here is the PDF containing the text from the book, plus maps and solutions for each game. Adventures For Your BBC Micro.pdf As mentioned before, this is not intended to be a complete reproduction. There are no front and back covers, no illustrations, no listings and no glossary. It's just ...

It remains one last game to completed the listings of the book. :) I've been putting together a PDF of the book as I've gone though each game. It's not a complete reproduction (I've left out the listings and the glossary) but everything else is there and is searchable. It also contains maps and solu...

Why you don't buy a ZX-UNO for only 65 euros and you will have not only Beeb core, but about 20 more home micro cores from a menu of 40 core slots!

Re: Adventures for your BBC micro BOOK on eBay

I had a similar problem with the educational archive. You can either compress the images before creating the PDF, which is probably better, or use a tool to compress the pdf itself (Which is a more heavy handed way to do the same thing). I suspect the dpi can be reduced significantly, as it was sca...

The link for pages 18-42 is broken. Where is the zip file? It is Arkham.zip on the post that opens when you click the link. Thank you I have rotated the pages, converted as jpg and merged to a complete book as pdf. The size of pdf is about 70MB. I wonder if someone can produce a smaller size pdf fr...

Are we sure it's the actual game / some emulation issue rather than the game code / transfer? I could get this version, taken from the original disk working OK... :| (I think the version from the STH archive worked fine too) You have right, it works. Re: Beeb FPGA

@hoglet: Thanks! I don't really know how hard swiching from SPI to MMFS would be. Is it as easy as swapping the used ROM or does it also need a different SD access system implementation? You just need to swap the ROM image. I just wonder, if is possible to put both SPI & MMFS on the same core a...

This might be user error, but I fired up Uridium, selected keyboard and some custom keys, and when it eventually started it was just an endless cycle of demo plays. That is, I didn't find a way to start to play. Same here, even without redefine the keys. I can't start the game, plays only an endles...

ZX1 have space for up to 40 cores.

Re: Palettemate / enhanced video ULA with 4096 colours

I have just checked my Master's ULA and unfortunately is soldered. :( I will check my other Beebs, but I am afraid all are soldered. On Amiga usually the upgrade boards put over the original chips. Is it possible to the future, a new version of VNuLA, which will put the boards over the soldered ULAs...

Because of lack suitable port, the ribbon cable from ULA to outside of BBC is somehow a solution.
But with the rest modification at BBC, I am afraid this will can't works if the VNuLA isn't attached.

Re: VideoNuLA boards

Hi Rob
I like your new hardware, but I prefer a portable (external) VNuLA for use for all of my BBCs.
I use already portable Matchbox Co and DataCentre for all of my BBCs and I can exchange the hardware between them.
I don't know if will be possible a portable version to the future.
