Or maybe they were the most expensive items so they were worried about fraud?

But think BigEd's theory better than mine ... too little profit in it after charges etc.

Re: CPU International Crisis - Are We All Doomed?

I think if you have home machines (well, ones built after 1995!), you just upgrade them and carry on with life. If you are responsible for servers, you'll still be waiting (like me) to find out how bad the performance impacts are going to be. But as Bruce says, this is probably just the beginning of...

Re: 32k memory management for dummies

Can't answer all your questions, but often disc games would load in MODE 7 (lowest memory usage), then do *TAPE and shuffle code down to &E00. That wouldn't work for multi-load games. Look also for custom modes e.g. the 10K MODE 8 ... but not the resolution you are after: http://www.dfstudios.co...

Maybe not "easy", but you can use Stephen's MMB Utils to do the copy-file-to-SSD part:

You do have the latest version - for Ubuntu, in the repository. To run the latest version available, I think you'll have to download the source code and build it manually, but given that it is a part of KDE 5 and Plasma, etc. there will be a load of dependencies you'll have to satisfy (hence the 200...

Baloo looks like the KDE4/5 indexer and meta-data extractor that will get the meta-data (e.g. image size) from files - so looks like you have to set that up to index all files. Looks like Dolphin is part of a bigger KDE "eco-system" that expects baloo to be running. Looks like the very rec...
