Re: network guru and electrician wanted

Buy LIFX bulbs.

They link to your WiFi, need no additional controllers and can be remotely activated as long as you have an Internet connection.

You may even be be able to set timers on them, or use IFTTT. They integrate with Alexa, Mrs Top Banana set this up - it’s beyond me

Interesting theory Ed, although I wouldn't call it low risk. Let me turn the question back on you. Would you prefer to employ someone;- a) Who is technically brilliant, but unreliable, rude to customers, unable to cooperate with colleagues, generally unpleasant to work with and therefore a drag on p...

Doesn't really matter that much to be honest. as Steve and Sweh have pointed out they each have their pros and cons. Why do you need to connect it to the Internet / your internal network ? If you don't need to, then choose neither, just disable the network card. If you must gain external access make...

So how does the Atari VBXE achieve all it's wizardry then ? Can we learn anything from how it implements it's sprites and higher resolutions and yet retains full GTIA compatibility?

Re: What's the most glittering demo for the BBC B?

There aren't any - all the decent demos were on the C64 (IMHO).

I actually think it's because of the lack of colour - the Beeb has such a poor palette compared to the C64, Atari 800 and Amstrad.
