IIRC this was a number range bug in the installer that caused it to wrap if you had lots of memory. The counterintuitive solution was to reduce your free memory before running it!

Re: A9 Home and new to RISC OS

The bad news is that the A9home was a rather beta test machine with a very beta test OS version, so your RISC OS experience is going to be a rough ride :-( Its USB setup does require manual fiddling as others have mentioned, and you'll probably find it will only deal with memory sticks/cards of less...

Well I don't have a speaker organised for that meeting, so if you wanted to get up and talk about your plans/ideas you would be very welcome!

I realise that would be very much in at the deep end, but we are friendly and (mostly) harmless ;-)

Hi all, (I posted a similar request last year, but under a slightly cryptic title, so let's try again!) I run the RISC OS User Group Of London, which holds monthly meetings usually with a guest speaker. Despite the name of the group, we do cover all things Acorn, as most of our members started out w...

Welcome!

If you're writing games in BASIC then have a look at the AMCOG Development Kit - http://www.amcog-games.co.uk/kit.htm

It also includes RDSP which makes sound generation much easier - http://www.amcog-games.co.uk/rdsp.htm

If you can find an old RPi 1 that isn't wanted any more because it is underpowered for running Linux, it makes a great RISC OS machine! Plus it is slightly more compatible with old software than the Pi3.

If anyone would like to take a table or two for an ABUG presence I'm sure they'll have space, it's a big room! Might even be worth asking if the room is available on Friday evening too if there's interest in having more of a get together. It's a nice place to stay :-)
