Re: Everygamegoing Now Running At Supersonic Speeds

Cheers. Fixed. That won't happen again. It's just something I was testing a few days ago that somehow didn't get updated. :-)

Everygamegoing Now Running At Supersonic Speeds

Hi everyone, So... over the last 3 months I have completely rewritten the Everygamegoing back-end. It's now written in the Yii framework and it runs fast. Seriously fast in fact. One of the big problems it's had since I launched it two years ago was the speed of execution, mainly because I adapted i...

I couldn't find it when I looked in the BBC Micro tape downloads link on StH. Maybe I looked in the wrong place.

Hmm, I tell a lie. Looks like there is no UEF version of it... :-(

I'll see if I can transfer the BBC version and then upload it here.

MIA: Polar Perils by Squirrel (Electron) - HELP ALSO NEEDED

I got hold of an Electron version of Polar Perils by Squirrel. Curiously it's just the tape with no inlay, which was the same as Moneywise by the same company which I picked up a year ago by the same company. I know Squirrel's other releases - Trafalgar, Bun Fun, Super Golf and TV Director - had inl...

Re: Uggies Garden - Superior /Acornsoft -Tape Original

Ah, I may be able to explain this... So, back in the day when I was collecting Acorn Electron stuff, and there was no real internet, and EUG was a post-only magazine that I would duplicate and send by snail mail blah blah... I got the unreleased tape of Uggie's Garden and I thought hey up this looks...

Master Compact Cover Scans

As you'll be aware I'm running a big site called Everygamegoing, over at everygamegoing.com. I never had a Master Compact back in the day, although I'm aware that there were quite a lot of professionally-released games for it. Does anyone have any cover scans of these? The only ones I have are here:...

Bugger!

Ah, well. If I find the original Touchdown disc next time I'm at my parents, I'll send it on to you and maybe you'll be able to recover it.

"Working Football" 3.5" Disc

This is really a long shot... A long time ago, I collected a software lot from a guy. Amongst the 3.5" ADFS floppies (mostly the usual T2P3 compilations of games!) was a game called Touchdown. This was advertised in the back pages of Electron User and is one of the few Elk games that hasn't yet...

Re: Missing Adventure games

The Elk version is available though, so it's not *too* traumatizing. The BBC version is likely exactly the same except runs in Mode 7!

Colour Genie World - From Acorn Electron World

I've been hard at work writing software that will remove subsets of data from my Everygamegoing site and create sites/DVDs like Acorn Electron World. I'm now proud to present the first of these... http://www.colourgenieworld.com/ I don't know how many of you are even aware of this machine but I've s...

Re: I know I've asked this before a thousands times BUT...

It's good enough for me, although actually most people do prefer DFS versions as the system keeps PAGE at &E00. Actually, with all that extra memory to play with, you might be able to get the DFS version to work without the score quirks... Or someone else might be able to have a go... :-)

Everygamegoing Has A New Recommendation By Mag Function
