Re: DFS fault codes
From DFS Error messages http://chrisacorns.computinghistory.org.uk/docs/Acorn/AN/019.pdf I've not come across 0A or 14 on a standard BBC B (since "Sector not Found" would cover a disk not being formatted in a recognised way), might be a later Acorn machine, since the document is from 1992 ...

@billcarr2005 - My disc is Version 2 as well but is ADFS. Your DFS ones should be the same software just on a different filing system. Provided they don't do any *DISC or *DRIVE commands they could be copied onto ADFS to complete my set. Track 39,sector 9 had a deliberate CRC error. The sector was ...

Re: How t pass arrays into procedures?
Are you typing the BASIC program in with the PAGE at &1900? If it's the final program, ie. no more will need to be loaded afterwards, tape could be enabled and the PAGE dropped to &E00. If under emulation, might be worth developing on the BBC Master initially to keep PAGE low? Although it's ...

Re: Educational Archive not in STH
Only tracks 0-19 of a 40T disc were formatted. Could this be related to the issue that affected the reporting of used tracks on the DLM titles? 20 x 2560 (or &14 x &A00) would give total data length of just 51200 (or &C800), whereas the SSD contains more than this? :? I've attached the ...

I was wondering if anyone could help me locate a game, I think, called Mapventure. I have no idea who made it and haven't found any trace of it so far on the net. It was written by Simon Hosler and published by Sherston Software, in 1988. I've attached the DFS version. The files are still "hid...

TLDR version: When I created the first FSD, of EXILE, way back in November 2012, I was able to "piggy back" on the SSD code of BeebEM because all that was missing, or rather implemented with automatic values added, was the ability to specify the sector IDs. Having the extra 4 bytes of the ...
