Re: Ravenskull Poster

OK your post inspired me to dig out my folder of glossy A2 game prints. I only have one Ravenskull sadly and I'm keeping that, though I do have two Crazee Riders (so I could make one of these available for sale) and three Codename Droids (so could make two of these available). However I'm dismayed t...

Re: Ravenskull Poster

Hi, it was Impact Posters (which later became the 4th Dimension) that produced and supplied (under license) the posters originally - so I doubt Superior would have ever had much of a stash (if any) but worth contacting them I suppose just in case ...

Re: Two BBC Micros free around Mar 2018

Hi Pablo, that's very kind - I don't need any more BBC Micros personally - but have you considered donating them to the ABug usergroup? Which would mean that the machines could be exhibited by members at various meetups such as the User Group meetings and the Wakefield/ROUGOL shows. I'm sure there a...

Re: White Light High Score Challenge for Beta Testers

Two days left! Is anyone going to attempt to top Jools' score? FS?

Jools, if you want a challenge, one of the beta testers (who isn't on the forum) managed to reach level 10!!

Tried it on one of the Masters in OS 3.2 mode and that seems to have done the trick(y) as it's now working.

Re: A new Warlords emulator for the beeb (was Writing a ...)

This seems OK on a Model B, B+ and Master although, we haven't got it working with a DataCentre yet. Just to confirm there's no problem with the Datacentre, both of the recent builds (Model B only and Model B/B+/Master) are loading fine from the RFS Drive on this Datacentre-equipped Model B I have ...

Re: White Light High Score Challenge for Beta Testers

Thanks for sorting that Ed, the download is now available to the beta testing team in the hidden forum. In addition to posting scores, if competitors could also post the level they reached for each score posted, that would be fab. As an extra incentive, the winner will be the first to receive a pack...

Re: A new Warlords emulator for the beeb (was Writing a ...)

Richard if you can post an interface to me at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester I can run Warlords for the Power Up event which runs from 11-28 August.

I have lots of pairs of dual Atari paddles with the 9 pin connectors.

Let me know if that's possible! :)

If you'd be willing to build two full interfaces (in cases etc) then I'd like to order two please! :)

P.S. Shocked at the seeming lack of interest in these! Can only assume that most Stardotters have never experienced the magic that is four-player Warlords!

Re: Source for an old Centipede game I wrote in '82

Think I've found a couple of bugs ... Firstly, when you lose a life, the game seems to put you back to the first level? And secondly, it would appear that on every fourth ("purple") screen from Level 5 upwards, an additional imprint of the player's yellow blaster is displayed. So on level ...

Re: Source for an old Centipede game I wrote in '82

Wow, this is fabulous now Mick, thanks! I love the game over sound effect! How does it look in terms of adding the missing collision detection in for when a bullet hits the spider (presumably a high score bonus would need to be added too?). Or is it too tricky (no pun intended). And do you think the...

Wow, thanks Mick - great work - this is now my favourite Centipede clone for the Beeb! Does anybody else struggle a bit with Space for fire? I think RETURN may be better. Also, I'd love to put this out for events, but find joystick controlled games work best, especially for kids - how easy would it ...

Blurp - released? Bomber Blaster - released? Neither released. Hoping that Bomber Blaster may be picked up again after White Light is out the door. Optimistic that one day we'll see Blurp too (Rich?) as I understand the game engine was completed; it was just the level design that Rich wasn't happy ...
