Re: Source for an old Centipede game I wrote in '82

Wow, this is fabulous now Mick, thanks! I love the game over sound effect! How does it look in terms of adding the missing collision detection in for when a bullet hits the spider (presumably a high score bonus would need to be added too?). Or is it too tricky (no pun intended). And do you think the...

UEF Tape Image: Painter (Micropower) BBC Micro

This is a slightly earlier release of "Demon Decorator" also by Micropower.

Thanks to Mark Haysman (Retroclinic) for kindly providing the original cassette for transfer.

I believe the same chap who supplies the "G-Roms" (Mark/Retroclinic) did do a run of repro 'Watford Electronics' style ZIF socket rom extenders/expansions, no idea if he has any left - but you could always ask?

Peter, it may be too late now, but you could borrow my nice Epson GT-15000 USB scanner? I could potentially drop it off with your bro in Leicester over the next couple of days, before I go away for the rest of July/August. LMK!

Re: Source for an old Centipede game I wrote in '82

Wow, thanks Mick - great work - this is now my favourite Centipede clone for the Beeb! Does anybody else struggle a bit with Space for fire? I think RETURN may be better. Also, I'd love to put this out for events, but find joystick controlled games work best, especially for kids - how easy would it ...

Re: New Games Index

Blurp - released? Bomber Blaster - released? Neither released. Hoping that Bomber Blaster may be picked up again after White Light is out the door. Optimistic that one day we'll see Blurp too (Rich?) as I understand the game engine was completed; it was just the level design that Rich wasn't happy ...

Re: List of Acorn/BBC related websites

Ah, just seen noticed the updated entry for BBCMicro.co.uk above. I'd certainly be uncomfortable taking sole 'credit' for this site bearing in mind how much work others have put in compared to me!! Maybe attribute me as a 'contributor' ??? e.g. Creators: Paul Houghton, Mick Brown, Lee Newsome. Lead ...

No link in your post but I assume you're referring to Aces High?

Not sure if it's been picked up by bbcmicro.co.uk yet but a download is available on Every Game Going:

Well, I'm able to arrange hosting for any additional archives on the same server as the bbcmicro.co.uk site ... In terms of domains, for the Atom archive we could use acornatom.co.uk (currently hosts Atomulator but that could be moved to atomulator.acornatom.co.uk, which would be in keeping with the...

Re: Beebug games tapes

No Rat Splat on the tape I have to hand, so you can assume that my old copy (which DaveE now has) is the same as this one. So there must have been two issues of 'Games 3' ... I'm guessing you saw the recent ebay auction that contained a 'Games 3' tape with Rat Splat mentioned on the label as the thi...

Re: ADFS 1.30 disassembly

No, that's a Cumana interface*, which uses its own proprietary DFS.

* = it's possible that the Eprom could have been switched with the SEDFS that was available from Slogger, which would in turn convert the interface into an Acorn-compatible DFS.

Re: Stardot merchandise?

P.S. Simon, re: t-shirt suppliers, would be worth finding out if the stardot logo can be screenprinted (min order quantity likely to be required e.g. 25) or applied from cut vinyls. As a regular iron-on transfer with a rectangular/square black background may look a bit naff!
